I want to keep my iPad screen on. How do I do this?
We recommend also using the Guided Access option of the iPad. See the question below on how to keep the iPad locked on the WaitAir app.
To keep the screen on all the time:
- Go to your iPad Settings
- Go to Display & Brightness
- Go to Auto-Lock.
- Set Auto-Lock to “Never”. This will keep your screen awake, but still respect your screen dimming settings.
- Press the Home button and re-open the WaitAir App
If you are on an older iPad running iOS 9.3.5, do the following:
- Go to iPad Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Auto-Lock
- Select Never
- Press the Home button and re-open the WaitAir App
I want to keep my iPad locked to the WaitAir app. How do I do this?
The iPad supports Guided access. You can use this to lock the iPad to the WaitAir App. Here are the steps:
- Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on General.
- Tap on Accessibility.
- Tap on Guided Access under the Learning section.
- Turn on Guided Access .
- Select Passcode Settings.
- Select Set Guided Access Passcode .
- Enter your 4 digit passcode
- You will be prompted to enter your 4 digit passcode again.
To enable guided access for the WaitAir app.
- Start the WaitAir app.
- Hit the Home Button 3 times.
- Click Start.
I have an Android Tablet. I’d like to keep the screen locked on the WaitAir App.
Android supports app pinning which locks an app. We recommend this for WaitAir. To pin the app, do the following:
- Start the WaitAir app.
- Press the “Recents button”. This is typically the square in the main navigation.
- Drag the WaitAir app to the center of the screen.
- A pin will show up in the lower right of the window. Press the pin.
The WaitAir app is now locked.
I want to change how long it takes to automatically send pickup pages from the Chef Screen. How do I do this?
- Click on the main navigation button in the upper left of the WaitAir app.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Advanced Settings.
- Change the Auto Orderup/Pickup Time.
- Click Save.
